While your shipment is traveling to Israel by sea, there are several important import forms that will need to be completed before customs clearance and delivery can take place. These forms help us coordinate customs processing and prepare for delivery to your new home in Israel.
Here are the three main forms you will typically receive:
- Power of Attorney (POA)
This form gives our customs broker and agents legal authorization to work with Israeli Customs on your behalf. Without this form, we cannot legally access or process your shipment through customs. - Customs Import Declaration Form
This form lists the items you are importing and their estimated values. Israeli Customs uses this information to review the shipment and process the import paperwork. - Delivery Information Form
This form helps us plan the final delivery to your residence in Israel. You may be asked questions such as:- What floor do you live on?
- Is there an elevator? If so, what size?
- Is truck parking easily available?
- Are there narrow streets or delivery restrictions?
- Are there stairs or long walking distances?
Providing accurate delivery information helps avoid surprises and allows the delivery crew to prepare properly.
These forms are usually emailed to you while your shipment is still in transit at sea. You can complete them digitally using a PDF editor such as PDFescape, or you can print the forms and fill them out by hand.
If you complete a hard copy, apps such as CamScanner can help you take a clear picture of the documents and save them as PDF files.
Please note that completed forms must be returned in PDF format so they can be processed quickly and efficiently.
