In international shipping, shipments remain on hold until the final balance has been paid. Once payment is received, the shipment is released and delivery can be scheduled.

This is a standard industry practice. After goods have been delivered, there is very little practical recourse if an outstanding balance remains unpaid.

We understand that additional or unexpected charges can be frustrating, and clients are always welcome to ask for clarification. However, keeping a shipment on hold pending payment should not be viewed as holding someone’s belongings “hostage.” It simply means that the transaction must be completed before the goods can be released.

Just as payment is required before receiving most products or services, international shipments must be paid in full before delivery.

Payment completes the transaction; release and delivery follow.
